The Broadspectrum UFF team in New Plymouth has several roles available for experienced Provisioning Maintenance Technicians who are interested in providing New Zealanders with access to the communications technology of the future. This is a role that will allow you to apply existing skills and experience in a company offering potential for career development. These roles offer experienced fibre technicians the opportunity to develop their technical skills while working together with a local fibre company to deliver world-class Ultra-Fast Fibre in Wanganui. The Role You will be reporting to the Area Product Manager of Provisioning. You will be an experienced provisioning maintenance technician with knowledge of NZ telecommunications networks, including international fibre technology. Working with your team, other Broadspectrum employees, members of the public and subcontractors you will be responsible for installing fibre connections to homes and business premises across the Manawatu - Wanganui region. You will have a strong customer focus and the ability to communicate respectfully to all people you encounter in the course of your work. You will be physically fit, will enjoy working outdoors and have a firm sense of responsibility in getting yourself and your colleagues home safe at the end of every day. To be successful in this role, you will need to have/be: Experience in telecommunications fibre installation Demonstrated ability to interpret, evaluate, analyse plans, diagrams and sketches Skilled in reading and interpretation of plans and fault test results Familiar with all relevant industry and government codes and requirements associated with telecommunications networks & with basic international telecommunication colour codes Good understanding of the NZ Telco network, including international fibre technology Adherence to Health and Safety requirements and policies in a potentially hazardous work environment is essential Basic computer literacy – e.g. use of tablets/ laptops for processing work orders and reporting on common software programmes A valid full NZ driver’s license (Class 1). We are currently seeking a hands-on and motivated person who will be our partner in delivering excellent customer service and expert water care in the area. This is an exciting and challenging role where no two days are the same!   About the Role Reporting to the Projects Supervisor, you will be leading a small team in the delivery of repare and upgrade of water projectes included water pipes and mains; renewal of water metres; pump stations; and plant facility upgrades. About the job As the successful candidate, you will need to have relevant industry qualification – either Infrastructure Certificate Level 3 or Drain Laying Certificate, level 3.  You will also need to have minimum of 2 years pipe laying experience as well as a Full class 1 driver’s licence with WTR An STMS certificate is an advantage. Our Transport maintenance and construction team based at Puketona (10 minutes from Paihia) are seeking talented and ambitious civil construction and road maintenance professionals to be part of their Transport Infrastructure team. The Team Broadspectrum currently has a long term Road Maintenance Contract with the Far North District Council managing 1200+ KM of roads from Opononi to Russell.  Along with this, the business also completes a wide variety of infrastructure projects in the Bay of Islands and wider area You will be part of a close-knit, hardworking, and collaborative team with a “Safety First” culture.
